Day 1 | 12 Days of Blogmas: Winter Make-Up Look

Todays makeup look is going to be a wintertime look with the berry tones. I used the 120 colour eye shadow palette that I got off eBay. It is amazing and very cheap. The shadows are very pigmented and there are so many colours to use that you can make hundreds of different makeup looks.

Base: Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, Maybelline Eraser Eye in the shade Light, Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation in the shade Light Vanilla No 51, New Look Pure Colour Liquid Concealer in the shade Honey No 5, Rimmel StayMatte Powder in the shade Transparent No 001, Benefit Hoola Bronzer, MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in the shade Soft and Gentle.

Eyes: Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo in the colour Metallic Pomegranate No 70, 120 colour eye shadow (colours aren’t named, see photo), Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in the colour Black No 1, Benefit They’re Real Mascara, Chanel Immitable Intense Mascara.

Brows: MAC Fluidline in the colour Dipbown.

Lips: MAC Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in the colour Etcetera, MAC Matte Lipstick in the colour Yash.

I started by putting my Smashbox primer all over my face and then for this look I decided to start on my eyes first. I put the Maybelline colour tattoo on my lid and then I went in with the dark red/purple shade from the eye shadow palette and put that all across the lid to set the colour tattoo. I also put the same shade under my eye. I then went in with the black eye shadow from the same palette on the outer corner of my eye and then brought that down in the outer corner of the lower lash line too. I kept adding more black to intensify it for a bold look. I went back in with the purple shade and blended it in with the black to remove harsh lines. I took a lighter gold shade and just put a little bit in the centre of my lid.

I used the gel liner from Maybelline on my top lid to make a small flick. I also used the gel liner in my bottom water line (don’t worry its safe, I do it all the time). I brought the liner right into the inner corner of my eye. I then used my Benefit They're Real mascara on my top lashes and my Chanel mascara on my bottoms lashes.

For my brows I used an angled brush from Eco Tools and my MAC Fluidline which I use everyday.

So once my eyes were done, I then went on to putting concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes I had, I blended that with my beauty blender. My foundation choice for the day was Bourjois (which I absolutely love) so I applied that all over my face with my beauty blender. I then used the same concealer to highlight my face, where I would usually highlight and then using the New Look concealer in a darker shade, I used that for my contour, I blended them all in using my beauty blender (my beauty blender has saved my life). I set my face using Rimmel Stay Matte and next added my favourite bronzer, Hoola by Benefit.

I decided to have a nude lip this day because I was going to work so I used my favourite lip duo. I outlined my lips using MACs Lip Liner in the colour Etcetera and then added MACs Matte Lipstick in the colour Yash all over the lip.

I really loved the finish look and it can be made a bit more dramatic with a pair of lashes and it will be perfect for a night out.

What’s your favourite look for the wintertime? Also, what’s your favourite wintertime eye shadow palette??
